At 1B, we talked about the lifecycle of the butterfly after reading the Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Here we are flapping our wings to imitate the butterfly after it emerges from its cocoon.
At 1D, we planted some seeds to welcome in spring. They need soil, water, the sun and air to grow. The seeds are in pots lined up on the windowsill and we are excited to watch them grow!
At 3b, we made Venetian carnival masks and decorated them with sequins and feathers.
At 4a we talked about pizza toppings such as pepperoni, mushrooms and corn. Yummy! The we sang the pizza song from our Tiger Tom English textbook.

At 2A we coloured the different parts of a reindeer face and glued them together to make Rudolf, Santa's favourite reindeer. He is the one with the red, shiny nose!
At 2c we learned the numbers from one to twenty with the help of the One to Twenty song by Singing Walrus and then we played Bingo. It was great fun!
At 4c we talked about the lyrics of the Planet song by Pancake Manor so it was easier to sing along to. 'My very excellent mother just served us noodles' is a phrase (also called a mnemonic) that helps us remember the right order of the planets.
At 1C we cut and pasted finger puppets together which we slipped on to our fingertips and wiggled as we sang along to the Family song by Kids Academy on Youtube. We loved the finger puppets!
At 2B, we sang the alphabet song which we learned has the same melody as the song in German but the letters are pronounced differently. We will be singing it again!
In 2B we learned about feeling different emotions such as happy, angry, scared and sleepy and then we all sang along to the song 'If you are happy' by Noodle and Pals.
In 1C, we listened and sang along to 'What's your favourite colour?' by Super Simple Songs. Then we played a game in which we put the colours up on the board and then swat the colour we heard with a fly swatter. It was fun!
